NEWS > 2024.04.05: NOTHING CAN TEAR US APART EP + MUSIC VIDEO
FIRST NEW MUSIC FROM MAXX KLAXON SINCE 2021

Today marks the release of NOTHING CAN TEAR US APART, a four-track EP from Maxx Klaxon — the longtime musical alter ego of artist Maximus Clarke, through which he explores the psychology of authoritarianism. The title track uses the the metaphor of a controlling relationship to comment on the bonds between autocratic leaders and their followers.

The track features backing vocals from Klaxon collaborator Marlene Mars, AKA Marah Van Beekom. Rounding out the EP are remixes by electronic masterminds Chris Ianuzzi (I, Synthesist) and Daniel Cousins (Albatross Heights), as well as an original instrumental track, “Freedom Tape”.

The EP will initially be available exclusively on Bandcamp. Next month, it will be released via selected streaming services; stay tuned to Maxx Klaxon’s Songwhip page for details.

A music video for the title track, based on Clarke’s 2017 short film of the same name, is now available for streaming in anaglyph 3D, side-by-side 3D, and 2D versions.
