Maximus Clarke’s LIGHT WORKER PORTRAITS, a new series of anaglyph 3D portrait images, makes its debut as part of the spring/summer 2018 programming at the Center for the Holographic Arts on Governors Island in New York City.
The portrait series depicts a range of artists whose work involves manipulating light, including Jonathan Sims, Klimentina Jauleska, Paul Johnson, Martina Mrongovius, and Sofy Yuditskaya.
On Sunday, June 10, Clarke will give a short presentation on the various approaches used in the portraits, showing some behind-the-scenes image of the shoots and the post-production process. The talk begins at 2pm.
ARTIST PHOTONICS, the Holocenter’s spring/summer 2018 exhibition, includes dozens of works featuring 3D images and light-based technologies. From holographic memories to explorations of optical dynamics, all the artists use photons as their medium. The show runs from May 4 through June 10, 2018, at 403 Colonels Row on Governors Island.
