Limited edition prints of Maximus Clarke’s PER SPECULUM IN ÆNIGMATE series will be among the works on sale at the 4heads Benefit and Art Auction this Wednesday in New York City.
The 5 prints are from Clarke’s image series combining 3D photographic figure studies, pixelation, QR codes, and encrypted messages, intended as a comment on the vanishing of personal privacy in the era of ubiquitous surveillance.
Prints of the PER SPECULUM IN ÆNIGMATE images have previously been exhibited as part of Radiator Gallery’s HEAT CHAOS RESISTANCE — IT’S TIME TO LIVE IN THE SCATTERED SUN (2013), the HOPE X Conference (2014), and the inaugural edition of the Chennai Photo Biennale (2016).
The 4heads Benefit and Art Auction supports 4heads’ ongoing nonprofit arts and education programs, especially the Governors Island Art Fair, now in its 9th year, and the Portal Art Fair, debuting in May 2016. It will happen on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at 7pm, at 104 Delancey Street.
