PROJECTS > OCCUPY YOUR MIND
OCCUPY YOUR MIND is a short film shot in the fall of 2011, at Zuccotti Park in lower Manhattan, during the heyday of the Occupy Wall Street movement.

It features Maximus Clarke’s alter ego, electronic pop star and would-be dictator Maxx Klaxon, delivering an address to the protesters — including a group of his own Klaxon Youth followers who are in on the act.

Klaxon ironically instructs his audience to ignore the broken socioeconomic system, and immerse themselves in the distractions of mass media. The stereoscopic video, shot by Carlton Bright and Maximus Clarke, captures both the satirical speech and the vivid spectacle of the Occupy movement at its fullest flowering.

OCCUPY YOUR MIND was first screened at The Center for the Holographic Arts in Long Island City, Queens, in December 2013. It was also shown at the Art Slope festival in Park Slope, Brooklyn, in September 2016.
