NEWS > 2021.05.14: ABSTRACT CONCRETE IN “LIGHT WINDOWS 2021”
3D VIDEO LOOP FEATURED IN WORLDWIDE LIGHT ART SHOW

Maximus Clarke’s anaglyph 3D video art piece ABSTRACT CONCRETE is featured in “Light Windows 2021”, a new distributed exhibition of light art in windows and public space, curated by the Center for the Holographic Arts, and featuring the work of artists across the world.

The first edition of “Light Windows” was organized in 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic imposed isolation around the planet. Unable to produce gallery exhibitions, the Holocenter invited artist to create light art in their own windows and local public spaces. These gestures of creativity inspired neighbors, and forged connections across a separated world.

One year on, the need for connecting across borders and through barriers remains critical. Over one weekend, artists from Argentina, Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Scotland, Spain, Turkey, and the U.S. are joining together to illuminate their environments.

“Light Windows 2021” will run from May 14 to May 16, in conjunction with UNESCO’s International Day of Light.
