On Sunday, December 7, the collaborative film PSYCHIC TV: DREAMS LESS SWEET — featuring an anaglyph 3D sequence produced by Maximus Clarke — will be screened at thePICTUREshow in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY. The screening starts at 6pm.
PSYCHIC TV: DREAMS LESS SWEET is the collectively created work of 47 filmmakers, designed to accompany and commemorate the 1983 Psychic TV album of the same name. It has been presented at the Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, the Chicago Underground Film Festival, Monkey Town Denver, and Brooklyn’s BAM Rose Cinemas.
Then, on Friday, December 19, Clarke’s 3D video installation AROUND THE CLOCK, first shown in July 2014 at Governors Island, NYC, comes back to life at the Flux Factory, as part of the Center for Holographic Arts’ end-of-year retrospective, PARALLAX: PERSPECTIVES.
AROUND THE CLOCK — a contemplative encounter with the circular and linear aspects of time — is built around a loop of stereo images shot inside the historic Bank of Manhattan clocktower in Long Island City, Queens, and set to the sounds of tolling bells and elevated trains.
