Maximus Clarke’s NOTHING CAN TEAR US APART will be screened as part of the 16th edition of the Los Angeles 3-D Movie Festival, on Saturday, December 14, 2019. The festival takes place at the Downtown Independent Theater in downtown Los Angeles.
NOTHING CAN TEAR US APART is a short 3D film, created with stop-motion animation, that portrays the psychological landscape of creeping authoritarianism. It depicts a sequence of dystopian propaganda posters floating into view, and being unfolded, straightened, flattened, taped down, and torn into fragments by invisible hands.
The LA 3-D Movie Festival’s mission is to showcase the best independent stereoscopic 3D filmmaking from around the world. The 2019 edition of the festival features a variety of short and feature-length films, including narrative, documentary, and experimental works. The festival is produced by 3-D SPACE, the Center for Stereoscopic Photography, Art, Cinema and Education, a nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles.
